For Alicia Vikander, that meant keeping her diet in check. To do so, they went for the keto diet.

Since we were traveling so much over the holidays, we decided the keto diet would be best because it’s easier to control the macros that way."-Magnus Lygdbäck, Popsugar interview.

The keto diet is super strict. There is a high-fat and very low-carb eating plan. Trainer Magnus Lygdbäck had Alicia Vikander stick to less than 25 grams of carbohydrates a day. The idea was to get the body to engage in what is known as ketosis. By consuming such a low amount of carbs a day, your body is forced to switching its energy source to body fat for energy rather than carbohydrates.

To maintain her celebrity diet, Alicia had to consume seafood and fish with limited amounts of vegetables since they contain lots of carbohydrates. One of the mainstays of the diet program was to consume fat in the form of MCT oil, avocado, and coconut oil. According to her personal trainer Magnus Lygdbäck, this diet cuts out grains, legumes, root vegetables, dairy, and most fruits.

As we can see, she has great results!
