He is a man who has lost everything. The only thing he has left is to find the secret underground facility known as the Dollhouse. Paul Ballard is a detective. His follow officers believe that he is chasing an urban myth. He is a broken man. Divorced and alone, he obsesses over freeing the captive mental slaves known as ‘actives‘. He is surrounded and doesn’t even know it!
For a detective he is not very perceptive. He seems like as psychopath but the interesting thing that he is right. How does a obsessed man who believes in a conspiracy theory behave when he finds out that his suspicions are real? Its sad really. He acts like he is having a complete mental breakdown right in front of us and sometimes his actions make us question if he is really the good guy.
Tahmoh Penikett is great. From Battlestar Galactica to Dollhouse, he does his job very well. The character he plays seems like he could go overboard for his beliefs, like some kind of fanatic. He seems like he is dangerous to be around.
