Natalie Jane Imbruglia was born on February 4th, 1975 in New South Wales, Australia. Her parents are Maxene and Eliot Imbruglia. Her father is Sicilain (from Lipari) and her mother is of Irish ancestry. Natalie is an older sister of the famous songwriter Laura Imbruglia. Natalie spent her childhood in Berkeley Vale. At the age of 15 Natalie attended St Peters Catholic College. She later studied ballet, highland dancing, and tap dancing. This gave Natalie the inspiration to pursuing her career.

Her Personal Life

At 16 Natalie Imbruglia quit high school to pursue an acting career. She landed her first role in the Australian soap Opera in the 1990s. She then later started her singing career. Her debut single, Torn was a super hit worldwide which was a cover of an "Ednaswap" song. This song sold more than one million copies in the United Kingdom.

Sadly the two got divorced in 2008, the reason, living too far away. Long distance relationships usually never work out.
