Motoko Kusanagi

She is my favorite female anime character. Major Motoko Kusanagi’s body is mostly robotic. She is a cyborg in the complete sense of the word. Its an excellent question of what it would be like if we did have cyborg secret police? Will we become cyborgs in the future in order to attain immortality? Its easy to see how the Major is the shape of things to come. Of course this is science fiction and not real, but at the same time, can we really say that components of the Major does not exist in real life? We do see things such as robotic prosthetics, Pacemakers, insulin pumps, even 3D printed body parts are being made in today’s scientific research and envelopment. Yeah, its very easy to see how this direction is where humanity is headed.

Thermoptic Suit

The major takes good care of her friends and team members. She knows what needs to be done in certain situation and takes action when needed. She is very strong both physically thanks to her robotic body and mentally thanks to her team. She understands the power of team work and she keeps every one on her team inline. She is like the couch. She knows her team extremely well and what their weaknesses are, so she sometimes benches certain characters when they become emotionally unstable. She also talks to them and calms them down when needed. She is a master tactician who usually keeps her own ego in check and does what is necessary to uphold the law, maintain the peace, and the balance in the society in which theses fictional characters live. She is amazing!

The Best

I really think we see the best of her here in this series above all the other forms of Ghost in the Shell media. The action scenes with her in it are very fulfilling. I really like the outfit she wearing. Its far more tactical and makes more sense than the older thermoptic suit she used to wear. Anyway you see her, she is a hit!
