Character: Merlin
I think this Merlin is very interesting because instead of him having a mysterious past, we get to see this character develop right in front of us through out the whole series. He’s funny really. Even when he is playing the old Emrys wizard it comes off as comedy. Interestingly it works.
We see that Merlin is born with magic and that he is predestined to help Arthur sit on the throne of Camelot and rule justly. He learns how to be a better person with the help of the dragon and Gaius. I like the fun factor of this series. You can just enjoy what you see here. There is a Harry Potter vibe here but that’s OK especially for those who are fans on that series.
Colin Morgan does a solid job as a young and old Merlin. Well done!
